Congratulations to all who qualified and competed for this year’s prestigious AT TEFF Rivers National Championship.
The river settled well and fished hard yet fair, with only the dying minutes of the final session on Sunday falling under the influence of a torrential downpour, that any earlier would have seen competitors climbing out of a coloured and rising river.
Congratulations goes to an ever-popular angler amongst participants of past seasons’ qualifiers and finals. So well done to this year’s winner Paul Baker. Paul received a ruckus round of applause when he went up to collect his trophy.
As stated, the Eden held her prized residents close over the two days, yet some truly impressive fish were landed too. Keith McAdam landing an impressive brown trout after a breathtaking fight, whilst Kevin Moran netted a chunk of a grayling that rose to his fly on a second offering.
Of the big fish that reached to net, Karl Watson’s took the proverbial biscuit, deserving a picture here, what a lump!
