The 28th FIPS-Mouche European Fly Fishing Championships will be held in Lesko-Krosno, Poland, from the 27th August to the 2nd September 2024.

SECTORS
Sector 1 Lake MYCZKOWCE

A section of Myczkowce lake on River San. Length: ca. 2.5 km, width: 100 to 300 m. Depth: 1.5 to 12 m. Fish species: brown trout (Salmo trutta trutta m. fario) – 90%, rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) – 5%, grayling (Thymallus thymallus) – 5%. Accompanying species: northern pike (Esox lucius), european perch (Perca fluviatilis), common roach (Rutilus rutilus) and common whitefish (Coregonus sp.). Periodically there is water discharge from Solina reservoir of up to 350 m3/sec (in between discharges the water is practically still). The areas where water is still most of the time, feature abundant underwater vegetation. The competition sector starts at the bridge in Solina and ends at the dam in Myczkowce.
Sector 2 River SAN Zwierzyn

Average width: 80-100 m, depth: 0.5 m, water flow: 22.4 m3/sec. When the water is low, the flow is 8.0 m3/sec. The current speed is slow to medium fast. Fish species: brown trout – 40%, grayling – 60%, huchen (Hucho hucho) < 1%. Accompanying species: chub (Leuciscus cephalus), dace (Leuciscus leuciscus) and ide (Leuciscus idus). The competition water starts at the village of Zwierzyń and goes as far as the village of Średnia Wieś. In numerous places the water is rich in aquatic vegetation but it does not obstruct fly fishing. Eligible fish occurring: rainbow trout, brown trout, brook trout, lake trout, grayling, danubian salmon.
Sector 3 River SAN Hoczew (dry fly only)

Average width: 100 m, depth: 0.6 m, water flow: 22.4 m3/sec. When the water is low, the flow is 8.0 m3/sec. The current speed is slow to medium fast. Fish species: brown trout – 40%, grayling – 60%, huchen (Hucho hucho) < 1%. Accompanying species: chub (Leuciscus cephalus), dace (Leuciscus leuciscus) and ide (Leuciscus idus). The competition water starts at the village of Średnia Wieś and goes as far as the village of Łączki. In numerous places the water is rich in aquatic vegetation but it does not obstruct fly fishing.
Sector 4 River SAN Lesko

Average width: 100-120 m, depth: 0.7 m, water flow: 25.0 m3/sec. When the water is low, the flow is 8.0 m3/sec. The current speed is slow to medium fast. Fish species: brown trout – 40%, grayling – 60%, huchen (Hucho hucho) < 1%. Accompanying species: chub (Leuciscus cephalus), dace (Leuciscus leuciscus) and ide (Leuciscus idus). The competition water starts at the village of Łączki and goes as far as the village of Postołów. In numerous places the water is rich in aquatic vegetation but it does not obstruct fly fishing.
Sector 5 River SAN Sanok

Average width: 100 m., depth: 0.8 m, water flow 30.0 m3/sec. The lowest flow is 11.0 m3/sec. The current speed is slow to medium fast. Fish species: brown trout – 20%, chub (Leuciscus cephalus), barbel (Barbel barbel), dace (Leuciscus leuciscus), nase (chondrostoma nasus) – 80%, huchen < 1%. Accompanying species: perch (Perca fluviatilis) and ide (Leuciscus idus The competition water starts at the town of Sanok and goes as far as the village of Dobra.
